I am a woman of a certain age (okay 74) I am super active but somewhat muscular and chunky (130 lbs 5'1" tall). I found a pair of these shorts at the thrift store on the men's rack and took them home for my husband but ended up wearing them. I promptly ordered another pair. I am now on my third order! I love them because the construction and cloth are sturdy. They are long enough to hide my figure flaws, my phone fits snugly in the back pocket and stays in place whether I am digging in my garden, getting in and out of the car, or even a short bike ride to the store. A bathing suit, a towel, and these shorts and I am off to the beach- they are heavy enough to go over a damp suit on the walk home without clinging. Since I like my shorts loose, I seem to fit both the mediums and large and buy what colors are available in that size. I love these shorts!
